Reporter breaks up fight - saves white supremacist

KOMO news reporter Shomari Stone was getting ready for a shoot at Victor Steinbrueck Park in Seattle when he noticed a group of men fighting.

As you can see, the victim was hit in the head repeatedly.

Without hesitation, Stone jumped on the suspect, pulled him off the victim and broke up the fight.

A witness called 911. The victim was treated at the scene, and the suspects left before police arrived.

Stone says police told him the man he saved is a white supremacist.

There's no word on why the men were fighting.

Wanna See Something Amazing? Watch This Video

A West Union police officer is recovering after being assaulted early Sunday morning.

Sgt. Jason Daniels pulled over a truck with expired tags and tried to arrest the driver, Phillip Evans, 21, when Evans was uncooperative, police said.

As Daniels tried to use a Taser gun on Evans, police said another man, Timothy Pritchett, 24, appeared behind Daniels. Cruiser cam video shows Pritchett grabbing Daniels by the neck and pulling him to the ground.

On the video, Evans walks over and kicks Daniels several times, one kick sending Daniels' hat flying out of the frame.

The video shows Pritchett telling Evans to stop eventually, and a couple comes over and tells the men to back off. Daniels regains his feet and holds both men at gunpoint.

Both men are charged with felonious assault.

Reporter Kelli Arena Says She Was Assaulted At Million Man March

Excerpt of the transcript from the Joy Behar show:

00:06:11    So it is important also to note that rape happens and sexual assault happens against men in some of these regimes.
00:06:19 (Kelli Arena)    >> Look, joy, I have to say something, I was right here in the nation's capital, , many years ago, in 1995, covering the million man march.
00:06:28 (Kelli Arena)    He was on my way to a live shot to cover that convenient and i was harassed by a group of men, thrown on the floor, they were saying you the most awful sexual things to me.
00:06:37 (Kelli Arena)    Another man came into that situation to help me, he was there with his son and help me, but that happened here, in the united states.

00:06:46    I mean this is that whole mob mentality, you know?
00:06:49     We are -- this is 2011, yes, but that still exists when you have a group of men that are together and get that mentality going, all revved up and often -- this is around the world.

18 days in Egypt - a Time line of Revolution

Al Jazeera

January 2011: Activists in Egypt call for an uprising in their own country, to protest against poverty, unemployment, government corruption and the rule of president Hosni Mubarak, who has been in power for three decades.

January 25: On a national holiday to commemorate the police forces, Egyptians take to the streets in large numbers, calling it a "day of rage".

Thousands march in downtown Cairo, heading towards the offices of the ruling National Democratic Party, as well as the foreign ministry and the state television. Similar protests are reported in other towns across the country.

After a few hours of relative calm, police and demonstrators clash; police fired tear gas and use water cannons against demonstrators crying out "Down with Mubarak'' in Cairo's main Tahrir Square.

Protests break out in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, the Nile Delta cities of Mansura and Tanta and in the southern cities of Aswan and Assiut, witnesses say.

Hours after the countrywide protests began, the interior ministry issues a statement blaming the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt's technically banned but largest opposition party, for fomenting the unrest - a claim that the Muslim Brotherhood denies.

Egypt protest organisers heavily relied on social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter.

Egypt's interior minister says three protesters and a police officer have been killed during the anti-government demonstrations.

What True Revolution Looks Like - Takin' It To The Streets

 Al Jazeera

After nearly two weeks of anti-government demonstrations in Egypt, the standoff continues between tens of thousands of protesters and the country's embattled president Hosni Mubarak.
The demonstrations entered their thirteenth day on Sunday in the capital, Cairo, where protesters braved rainy weather as they dug in for another night in the city's Tahrir Square, the focal point of the protests.

Al Jazeera's correspondent in the capital said the scene in Tahrir was relatively calm shortly before dawn on Sunday in what has become a "tent city".
"It's generally been a quiet day, though there have been sporadic moments of excitement amongst the protesters. At one moment the army was placed in between two groups who were chanting rival slogans at each other.
"But it's relatively peaceful now, and they're hunkered in and around what has become an enormous tent city."

McDonald's and Burger King need to extend breakfast to 1pm!

Sausage Egg and Cheese McGriddle

Sometimes... no MOST times, I don't want a damn cheeseburger at 10:45 in the morning!! When you get up in the AM and you're trying to start your day the last thing you need to deal with is making compromises in what's the first meal you're going to eat. It's one thing to have to decide between getting say a breakfast burrito vs. your favorite breakfast meat with eggs (and possibly cheese) on a croissant, bagel or English muffin. You only have to adjust your taste slightly, its not a major deal. But its a completely whole other thing to have to decide between a breakfast sandwich and a damn cheeseburger. Its two totally different tastes and two totally different mindsets.
